I rather see you smiling

I'd Rather See You Smiling

I'd Rather See You Smiling

You must not think that I have gone

Please don't grieve or pine

I'd rather see you smiling

Laughing - working - looking fine

Death is an exciting key

Which opens many doors

It leads us into other worlds

Quite similar to yours

Life is not an accident

Death is not the end

God designed a mystery

Life and death do blend

So do not think that I have gone

Please don't brood or pine

I'd rather see you smiling

Laughing - working - looking fine

Sailing Ship Urns

The Sun Shall Rise

The sun shall rise,

and sure to set.

Her time has come,

have no regret.

Her life she lived,

we sure all know.

A better place,

she has to go.

Rejoice today

it's at an end.

And she will see us,

once again.

I have a place in heaven

I Have A Place In Heaven

Please don't sing sad songs for me,

Forget your grief and fears,

For I am in a perfect place

Away from pain and tears

It's far away from hunger

And hurt and want and pride,

I have a place in Heaven

With the Master at my side.

My life on earth was very good,

As earthly life can go,

But Paradise is so much more

Than anyone can know.

My heart is filled with happiness

And sweet rejoicing, too.

To walk with God is perfect peace,

A joy forever new.

Sea Forever

Sea Forever

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,

And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by,

And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking,

And a grey mist on the sea's face, and a grey dawn breaking.

I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide

Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;

And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,

And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.

I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,

To the gull's way and the whale's way, where the wind's like a whetted knife;

And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,

And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick's over.

My Love

Today I spoke to God and this is what I heard

If you're out there being selfish, you haven't heard my word

People out here need you

The young and old need help

Please give them my love, and give it through yourself

Bury all your hatred

Show love, and lend a hand

Surrender all your hatred, and rectify my plan

You are my flowers in a meadow from above, and every single person

came from me, to earth, with love.

Heaven's Side

Heaven's Side

When the storm inside is raging

When the night has trapped your fears

When the nightmare starts unfolding

When you cannot stem your tears

I shall see you in your sorrow

I shall feel your deep despair

Softly fold my arms around you

Let you know that I am there

I have passed the veil of knowledge

Leaving you with earthly gloom

Heaven floats and flows between us

Death is neither end nor doom

In the sunshine of our memories

Spun by silver thread so fine

Lives a picture of our loving

All is saved which is divine

Hold our love which is forever

Call me and I'm by your side

Trust the voice you hear within you

Sending love from heaven's side

I'm Free

I'm Free

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.

I'm following the path God laid, you see.

I took His hand when I heard him call.

I turned around and left it all.

I could not stay another day,

To laugh, to love, to work or play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way,

I've found the peace on a sunny day.

If my parting has left a void,

Then fill it with remembered joys.

A family shared, a laugh, a kiss,

Oh yes, these things, I too, will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life's been full, I savored much,

Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief.

Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your hearts and peace to thee.

God wanted me now; He set me free

Goodbye To You My Friend

Goodbye to you my dear friend,

But I will see you again.

Though we must part for awhile,

There's a reason for a smile.

Of Him Who saved us by His grace!

Since our hope is in the Lord,

Not what the world can afford,

The joys of heaven we will share

With the saints and angels there.

We will walk the streets of gold

Where there's beauty that's untold

And behold the glorious face.

Saying Goodbye

Saying Goodbye

May today's tears of heartfelt sorrow

Be signs of hope for a brighter tomorrow

And the pain and grief that we are feeling

Give way to joy through God's merciful healing

For goodbye is not 'gone forever'

It's only for a while

And when we get together again

We'll share in one big smile.
